A collection of elephant figurines in various styles and materials including a Love Is example. The assortment features a diverse range of representations, from highly textured realistic models in bisque-fired ceramic or resin to stylised glazed ceramic characters. Notable pieces include a large group depicting a mother elephant with two calves on her back, a whimsical light blue elephant with large eyes and a heart motif, and a seated off-white figure with pink-lined ears. One miniature figure, depicting an elephant emerging from a small shopping bag, is impressed on the base of the bag with the text ‘LOVE IS…’. Another small grey elephant on a circular base bears molded marks to the underside featuring a copyright symbol ‘©’ followed by characters that are not clearly legible. The collection comprises pieces with both matte and high-gloss glazes in various shades of grey, blue, and white.
Condition report:
The dark grey elephant with the raised trunk has a broken trunk tip (photo 2). The large grey elephant positioned in the background has a significant surface chip and area of material loss on the forehead and upper trunk (photo 4). Most items show an accumulation of surface dust consistent with shelf display. No other obvious repairs are visible, though minor flea bites or surface wear may be present given the quantity of items in the lot.
