This lot comprises one 2017 silver proof one pound coin issued by Alderney to celebrate the Platinum Wedding Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. The coin is struck in sterling silver with a proof finish. The obverse features a right-facing profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, with a circular legend reading ELIZABETH · II · DEI · GRA · REGINA · ALDERNEY · C.I. · 2017 ·. The reverse displays the conjoined coats of arms of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh surmounted by a crown, with the inscription ELIZABETH · AND · PHILIP · 1947 · 2017 · ONE POUND. The coin is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule and is accompanied by a black presentation pouch with a gold-coloured printed crown device and the text JUBILEE MINT. Also included is a white paper Certificate of Authenticity featuring a circular EP 1947-2017 monogram and signed in black ink by Michael J. Byrne. The certificate specifies an edition limit of 9,999 and the reverse lists the technical specifications, including the metal as 925/1000 Sterling Silver.

The coin is in uncirculated proof condition with frosted devices and mirrored fields, showing no visible signs of wear, marks, or toning through the protective plastic capsule (photos 3 and 4). The presentation pouch and certificate of authenticity are in good condition with no tears or heavy creases visible (photos 1, 2, and 5).
