A 2017 commemorative five-pound (£5) coin issued by Tristan da Cunha to mark the Platinum Wedding Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Struck in .925 sterling silver to a proof finish, the obverse features a right-facing crowned portrait of the monarch with the legend transcribed as H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II TRISTAN DA CUNHA and the date 2017 at the bottom. The reverse depicts the dual profiles of the Queen and Prince Philip in front of Westminster Abbey, with the inscription ELIZABETH AND PHILIP 1947-2017 above and the denomination FIVE POUNDS below. The coin is housed in its original clear plastic capsule and presented in a black Jubilee Mint presentation case with a white outer sleeve. The inner lid of the case features a printed gold-coloured crown emblem and the words JUBILEE MINT. It is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity identifying it as part of a limited edition of 499, signed by Michael J. Byrne. The documentation specifies the metal composition as 925/1000 sterling silver.

The coin exhibits high-lustre mirrored fields and frosted devices consistent with a proof strike, with no visible wear, contact marks, or toning (photos 3 and 4). The original clear plastic capsule, black presentation case, and white outer sleeve are present and exhibit no significant signs of wear or damage (photo 1).
