A 2018 The Royal Mint The Tailor of Gloucester silver proof fifty pence coin with presentation case. This commemorative coin is struck in silver and features a coloured reverse illustration by Emma Noble depicting a mouse sitting atop a reel of thread while reading a newspaper. The obverse displays the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, surrounded by the legend ELIZABETH II · D · G · REG · F · D · 50 PENCE · 2018. The coin is housed within a circular capsule protected by a clear acrylic four-screw presentation block and is accompanied by its original decorative packaging. The lot includes a Certificate of Authenticity numbered 00959, which identifies the issuing authority as the United Kingdom and specifies an alloy of 925 Ag, a weight of 8.00g, and a diameter of 27.30mm. Condition report:

The coin appears to be in pristine proof condition with mirror-like fields and no visible handling marks, toning, or surface defects observed through the protective capsule (photos 4 and 5). The acrylic display block is well-preserved with no significant scratching. All original presentation components, including the two patterned cream boxes and the certificate of authenticity, are present and show only minimal signs of shelf wear to the edges of the outer slipcase (photo 1).
