A handcrafted folk art style painted wooden model play house. This two-storey architectural model is constructed from wood and features a central projecting gable section. The exterior is finished in two tones of brown paint, with the darker shade applied to the lower level. It is topped with a red-painted gabled roof featuring two grey-painted peaks. The elevations contain various rectangular and square window openings, some of which are fitted with clear panes, and a single central doorway. The interior and construction details suggest it was produced as a toy or for display purposes. There are no visible manufacturer’s marks or signatures present on the piece.
Condition report:
The model shows visible signs of age and play wear. The red paint on the roof exhibits significant mottling, surface wear, and areas of loss (photo 2). There are scattered scuffs, minor paint abrasions, and small chips to the edges of the wooden body (photo 3 and photo 4). The window panes and interior are dusty with light surface grime (photo 1 and photo 6). The overall construction remains structurally sound.
