A collection of cat themed figurines and decorative items including Maruri Studio and Bronte Porcelain examples. This mixed media group lot comprises approximately forty pieces featuring a variety of feline subjects in various poses, including sitting, sleeping, and playing. The collection is constructed from materials including glazed ceramic, bisque porcelain style stoneware, cold-cast resin, and a miniature silver-toned metal figure. Notable items include a large recumbent grey cat bearing a gold foil adhesive label printed with MARURI STUDIO and a small ceramic dish modelled as a cat with a black and white striped tail forming the rim. Two small framed illustrations are included; one depicts a stylised cat with a mouse on a string, and the other shows a cat holding a candle under a star. The lot is accompanied by original packaging including a blue cardboard box printed with Bronte Porcelain in a gold-toned cartouche, and background boxes marked for Portmeirion and Aynsley. Several items bear white adhesive inventory labels printed with C1166C. This lot comprises the cat themed items and packaging only; the shelving and background furniture shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in generally good condition but exhibit a significant accumulation of surface dust and lint throughout the collection as seen in all photographs. No major chips, cracks, or professional repairs are immediately visible on the figurines or within the frames of the prints (photo 1). Minor surface wear consistent with age and display should be expected.
