A Lladro glazed porcelain figurine titled Monday’s Child with original presentation box. The figure depicts a young boy dressed in a blue and white striped sailor-style shirt and matching cap, kneeling upon a textured base designed to resemble a shoreline. He is depicted looking down towards a small puppy positioned within a pink and white striped lifebuoy. Lladro marks typically feature a bell-flower logo and the company name in blue underglaze. The base of this piece is printed in blue with a stylised bell emblem above the word LLADRÓ, followed by the text HAND MADE IN SPAIN and a copyright notice reading © DAISA 1992. The base is also printed with the titles Niño lunes and Monday’s Child, and features the incised characters F-25 J. The lot includes the manufacturer’s original grey cardboard box, which carries a printed label identifying the model as 06011 and includes various retail stickers.
