A Lladró glazed porcelain figurine titled Going Forth, also known as Dia De La Graduacion. This Spanish porcelain figurine depicts a young male graduate in a blue academic gown and mortarboard, holding a rolled diploma in his right hand and a brown book in his left. The piece is hand-made with a uniform high-gloss glaze. The underside of the base features a blue stamped mark with a stylised bell-flower logo above the word LLADRÓ, followed by HAND MADE IN SPAIN and © DAISA 1995. Incised characters into the porcelain base include 6272, a three-petaled flower symbol, and C-21 MY. The lot includes the original grey and blue cardboard presentation box, which bears a label with the manufacturer’s logo, the model number 06272, and the titles DIA DE LA GRADUACION and GOING FORTH. A retailer sticker reading * H M V 3 8 * is also present on the box.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, crazing, or signs of restoration to the porcelain or the glossy glaze finish (photos 1-5). The included presentation box shows minor shelf wear and light scuffing to the exterior surfaces consistent with age and storage (photo 6).
