This lot comprises a Spanish Lladró glazed porcelain figurine titled Winter depicting a boy and dog with presentation case. The figurine features a young boy dressed for cold weather, wearing a blue and white bobble hat, a blue scarf, a grey coat, and brown boots. The boy is depicted carrying a large brown bag or blanket over his shoulder, while a small white and brown spaniel style dog is seated at his feet. The figures are set upon an integral oval base finished in a pale grey-green glaze. The underside of the base features a blue printed backstamp reading LLADRÓ above HAND MADE IN SPAIN and © DAISA 1983. There is an incised diamond symbol and the characters A-16 D present on the base. The accompanying original cardboard presentation case bears a label printed with the model number 05220 and the title INVIERNO INFANTIL / WINTER, alongside the text © DAISA 1990 – DERECHOS RESERVADOS – PROPIEDAD DE DAISA, DISEÑOS ARTISTICOS E INDUSTRIALES, S. A.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or professional repairs. There is minor surface discolouration and shelf wear to the unglazed foot rim on the underside (photo 5). The original cardboard presentation case shows signs of shelf and storage wear, including scuffing to the edges and corners and minor compression to the cardboard structure (photo 6).
