Sold for: £3
This lot comprises a collection of miniature swirled green glass elephant figurines, each hand-formed with a marbleised aesthetic. The figures are constructed from translucent emerald green glass featuring opaque white marbling throughout the bodies. The assortment includes elephants in various stylised poses, including walking and standing figures, and one seated elephant balancing a small red glass ball on its trunk. Delicate details such as tusks and eyes are rendered in contrasting white and dark glass. There are no manufacturer’s marks, signatures, or backstamps visible on the pieces. This lot comprises the glass figurines only; the wooden shelving shown in the photographs is not included.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good overall condition, with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the delicate trunks, ears, or limbs (photos 1-5). Minor surface irregularities and small internal bubbles are present, which are characteristic of hand-worked lampblown glass.
