This lot comprises a trio of vintage manual kitchen and industrial tools including a commercial style vegetable peeler, a cast iron grinder, and an orange painted manual tool. The first item is a hand-cranked peeler constructed from cast metal with a yellow and cream painted finish and a steel crank arm with a black handle. It bears a circular red adhesive label printed with KWIKPEEL and LOCKHART EQUIPMENT LIMITED READING. The second item is a manual tool featuring an orange painted cast metal base, a black metal crank arm, and a turned wooden handle. The third item is a cast iron manual grinder designed with an integrated screw clamp for bench mounting and a long manual crank handle. The cast iron body features embossed lettering that is not clearly legible. This lot comprises the tools only; the shelving, books, and compact discs shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The Kwikpeel peeler shows significant paint loss and chipping to the body, with surface oxidation present on the steel crank arm (photo 1). The orange painted tool exhibits heavy paint loss and surface rust to the base and crank arm, while the wooden handle shows age-related darkening (photo 2). The cast iron grinder is heavily oxidised with overall surface rust and loss of original finish (photo 3).
