A collection of four framed M. Brown coastal scene prints and an assortment of decorative photo frames. The prints are monochromatic blue-toned reproductions depicting West Country style harbour scenes, including fishing vessels at quay, multi-arched stone bridges, and coastal cottages with external staircases. Each print bears a printed signature in the lower corner reading ‘MBROWN.’ or ‘MBROWN’. The prints are presented in matching dark wood-finish frames with grey or off-white mounts. The assortment of photo frames includes a white diptych frame with floral and butterfly decoration bearing a label reading ‘Sentiment Photo Frame by Regency Photo Size: 3.5″ x 5″‘, a pink floral patterned frame, a silver-toned beaded metal frame, a burr-wood effect frame with a green mount, and a light natural wood frame with a stock insert reading ‘WOOD PHOTOFRAME 10cm x 15cm 4″ x 6″‘. This lot comprises the framed prints and empty decorative frames only; the auction notice and other background items shown in the photographs are not included.
Condition report:
The four prints appear to be in good condition with no visible evidence of foxing, toning, or fading (photos 2, 3, 4, 5). Minor surface dust and light handling marks are present on the glass and frame bodies throughout the collection (photos 1, 6). The assorted decorative photo frames show general light surface wear consistent with age and domestic use (photo 6).
