A collection of militaria and eclectic collectables including a Nepalese style kukri knife, a Swiss made stopwatch, and promotional enamel pins. The kukri features a dark handle, possibly made of horn or wood, decorated with white circular inlays and housed in a black leather wrapped sheath. The lot includes a chrome cased mechanical stopwatch with a white dial marked LIGA and SWISS MADE, featuring 1-30 black and 31-60 red numerical tracks. A brass encased pocket compass with a black leather strap is present alongside an enameled winged badge inscribed BEHOLD ST. CHRISTOPHER AND GO YOUR WAY IN SAFETY. The assortment features four enameled character pins in individual plastic display cases, two labeled MCA and two labeled GCC. Further items include reproduction medals in plastic sleeves with descriptive slips referencing the Drake Medal 1589 A.D. and the Girona, a gold coloured star shaped pendant on a chain, a silver toned metal petrol lighter, a safety razor in a cardboard box, and a brass uniform button.
Condition report:
The collection generally shows signs of age related wear throughout. The kukri knife exhibits scuffing and wear to the leather sheath (photo 1). The metal components of the stopwatch, compass, and lighter show surface tarnish and light scratching consistent with age (photo 3). The enameled winged badge displays minor surface wear to the enamel (photo 3). The cardboard box for the safety razor shows significant wear and creasing (photo 4). The plastic display cases for the enamel pins and reproduction medals show light surface scuffing (photo 2).
