A collection of quilted bedding and assorted textiles including pieces from The Pine Collection. The lot features a large quilted bedspread decorated with a traditional patchwork style print. The pattern incorporates classical motifs such as large floral rosettes, scrolling acanthus leaf borders, and foliate designs in a colour palette of pale blue, primrose yellow, and terracotta pink on a cream ground. The bedspread is finished with a machine sewn diamond quilting stitch. Also included is a textile displaying a blue, pink, and white abstract geometric pattern, and a red and white patterned knit or woven throw. An adhesive label is present on one piece, printed with the text BERGEN and The Pine Collection.
Condition report:
The textiles appear to be in good overall condition with no visible staining, tears, or areas of heavy fraying to the exposed fabric (photo 1). The colours remain well defined and there is minor creasing consistent with storage. Significant moisture staining is visible on the wall behind the items, though this does not appear to have affected the textiles themselves (photo 1).
