This lot comprises a collection of five vintage wristwatches of varying designs and periods, including examples by Accurist and Rego. The assortment features a Rego hexagonal watch with a chrome-plated base metal case and a cream dial marked with Arabic numerals and a red 24-hour inner track; it is fitted with a wide dark brown leather strap and marked REGO and SWISS MADE. An Accurist square quartz watch is included, featuring a gold-plated case and expansion bracelet, with the dial marked Accurist and QUARTZ. The collection also contains an unbranded round watch with a white dial marked QUARTZ and a case back stamped STAINLESS STEEL BACK. Completing the lot are two watch heads: a Prestige model with wire lugs and a dial marked PRESTIGE and SWISS MADE, and a Lady De Luxe 17-jewel manual wind watch head marked LADY DE LUXE and 17 JEWELS, bearing a case back stamped SWISS CASE.
Condition report:
The watches exhibit various degrees of wear consistent with age and use. The Rego watch shows significant pitting to the chrome plating and wear to the leather strap (photo 5). The Accurist watch displays heavy wear to the gold plating and green verdigris corrosion on the expansion bracelet (photo 4). Similar verdigris is visible around the case back of the unbranded round watch (photo 3). The Prestige watch head exhibits heavy plating loss and rust on the reverse (photo 10), while the Lady De Luxe head shows general wear and verdigris on the spring bars (photo 7). All items are sold as seen; none have been tested for timekeeping functionality.
