A collection of vintage costume jewellery including various brooches, a link bracelet, a ring, and earrings. The assortment features a silver-tone dragon brooch with blue and green enamelled wings, a pair of bird-shaped brooches set with turquoise-coloured cabochons and green stone eyes, and a filigree butterfly brooch with a central faux pearl. The link bracelet is composed of oval shell style cameo portraits in base metal frames. Other items include a marcasite-set bow brooch, a marcasite-set gondola brooch, and a textured leaf-shaped pin. A boxed ring features a large faceted oval brown stone, possibly glass or smoky quartz. The collection also contains a dollar sign stick pin, a brooch depicting a girl with an umbrella, and various floral designs. The pieces are finished in a mix of gold-tone, silver-tone, and white metals. No maker’s marks, hallmarks, or purity stamps are legible on the items.
Condition report:
The lot exhibits signs of surface wear and oxidation consistent with age. Notable tarnishing is visible on the filigree and leaf-shaped brooches (photo 1 and 3). General surface scratches are present on the metalwork and stones (photo 2). The enamel on the dragon brooch appears largely intact. The cameo bracelet shows some wear to the metal plating on the reverse and edges (photo 1). No other significant damage or missing components are visible in the provided images.
