Fortnightly Auctions Of Antiques, Collectables, General Furniture and Effects. New Lots Added Daily.
This lot comprises a set of two contemporary granite style glazed ceramic items, consisting of a tall pedestal and a matching jardiniere. The pieces are constructed from heavy earthenware or stoneware, featuring a high-gloss finish with a mottled cream and black decorative effect intended to simulate polished granite. The pedestal is of baluster form with a flared rim and a stepped circular base. The jardiniere is a circular bowl with a wide flared rim and a tapered body. Both items are decorated with applied horizontal silver-toned metal bands, likely chrome-plated. No other manufacturer’s marks, signatures, or backstamps are visible on the exterior or interior surfaces. This lot comprises the ceramic pedestal and jardiniere only; the fire extinguisher, wooden furniture, and golf equipment shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good overall condition. There are no chips, cracks, or signs of restoration visible in the provided photographs (Photos 1, 2, and 3). Some surface dust and minor shelf wear to the underside of the base are present, consistent with storage. The metal bands appear secure and free from significant pitting.
