Lot 104: A Set of Six Commemorative Gold-Plated Copper and Cupro-Nickel Medals and Coins in Presentation Case

This lot comprises six commemorative medals and coins housed in a navy blue velvet-lined presentation case, accompanied by five Certificates of Authenticity. The collection includes five gold-plated copper medals and one UK cupro-nickel commemorative crown. Three 50mm medals dated 2010, each weighing 54g, feature colourised banknote stickers on the obverse depicting the £50 Boulton and Watt note, the Series C 10-shilling note, and the £5 White Note. The reverses bear a seated Britannia within an ornate scrollwork frame inscribed BRITISH BANKNOTES. Also included is a 40mm St. George and the Dragon medal dated 2017 weighing 32g, featuring colourised pad-printed imagery and a central blue Swarovski crystal insert, and a 40mm Battle of Trafalgar medal dated 2015 weighing 32g with the reverse legend HISTORY OF BRITAIN. The collection is completed by a 1977 Silver Jubilee commemorative crown featuring an equestrian portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 1977. Documentation consists of five printed Certificates of Authenticity, each bearing a small blue crest emblem and serial numbers 04499, 00971, 05849, A 04604, and 00048. The certificates include headings such as Brit. Bankn. GP Commemoratives, 10 Shilling Banknote Comm. GP, £5 White N. Comm. Strike GP, and £50 Bankn. Comm. Strike F GP. All items are housed within individual protective plastic capsules.

The items appear in excellent condition with no visible surface marks, wear, or toning (Photo 1 and 2). Each piece is protected within an individual plastic capsule, showing no signs of handled wear. The presentation case and velvet lining remain in good order. The accompanying Certificates of Authenticity are well-preserved with no significant creasing or tears (Photo 3).
