A collection of decorative and table glassware including examples by Duiske and Avon. This lot comprises a hand-blown Duiske Irish Design oil lamp featuring a clear spherical body with internal multi-coloured spots in shades of blue, yellow, and orange, supported by a twisted clear and blue glass stem on a circular foot. A gold and silver foil adhesive label to the body bears a geometric logo above the text DUISKE and Irish Design. The collection further includes a hand-blown flared studio glass vase with internal pink, blue, and orange swirled decoration and a polished pontil mark to the base.
Also included in the lot is a lobed amber glass basket with four applied clear glass feet and a turquoise blue pressed glass bowl featuring a central spiral motif and starburst decoration. A twelve-piece set of etched table glassware comprises two candlesticks, six liqueur glasses with star and leaf patterns, and four footed dessert coupes. A green moulded glass bottle in the form of a vintage car is embossed © AVON to the base. This lot comprises the glassware items only; the display surfaces and background shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The Duiske oil lamp is in excellent condition with no visible chips or cracks (photo 3). The hand-blown studio glass vase shows no significant defects (photo 1). The amber glass basket and blue pressed bowl both appear in good condition without visible damage (photo 5). The set of thirteen etched glasses shows no visible chips to the rims or feet (photo 7). The Avon car bottle is in good condition, although the modern electrical fitting is a later addition and has not been tested (photo 9).
