A collection of Carlsberg Elephant glass barware and stemware including a drinking horn and figural elephant stems. The assortment comprises various drinking vessels and accessories constructed from clear, frosted, and hand-worked glass. Notable items include a clear glass drinking horn resting on three small feet, bearing a printed decal of a blue elephant with ‘ELEPHANT’ in red capital letters and ‘Carlsberg’ in cursive script. A group of clear glass goblets features gold-gilded rims and circular red decals marked ‘ELEPHANT RED’, ‘Carlsberg’, and ‘PREMIUM BEER’. The collection also includes several small glasses with figural stems formed as stylised elephants in amber, smoky grey, and black glass. Additional pieces consist of frosted glass flutes with acid-etched elephant motifs and a group of glass swizzle sticks topped with elephant-head finials in frosted, pink, and dark red glass. Some of the frosted glasses feature decorative multi-coloured beaded collars at the top of the stems.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good vintage condition. There is surface dust and light residue visible across the lot from storage (photo 1). Minor wear and rubbing are evident to the gold-gilded rims of the clear glass goblets (photo 4). The delicate lampworked elements, including the trunks and legs of the figural elephant stems and the heads of the swizzle sticks, appear intact with no visible chips or fractures (photos 2 and 4).
