The collection includes two Portmeirion Botanic Garden pattern cylinder vases, one bearing a printed foliate cartouche reading THE BOTANIC GARDEN circa 1818 PORTMEIRION, and a white relief-moulded mug marked PORTMEIRION TOTEM SUSAN WILLIAMS-ELLIS STOKE MADE IN ENGLAND. Also present are floral mugs marked HERON CROSS POTTERY 18 76 STAFFORDSHIRE ENGLAND, a Royal Kendal plate from The Alex Williams Collection, and two heraldic plates bearing the mark of LIVERPOOL ROAD POTTERY LTD STOKE-ON-TRENT. A dark brown ribbed pitcher is incised to the underside with 588 / 17 / W. Germany. Two small Italian earthenware pots are hand-painted L’Ancora 41 and L’Ancora KERA-TEAK 33. The lot further includes five blue and white commemorative plates inscribed JULE-AFTEN with dates including 1930 and 1963, and a wooden vase with a label for Hands on Pottery.

Condition report:

The collection is in generally good vintage condition with signs of age-appropriate wear. Visible crazing is present on the West German art pottery pitcher and some of the earthenware mugs. The two heraldic plates are fitted with wire spring-tension plate hangers. There are no obvious large chips or cracks to the porcelain items. Minor surface scratching and wear to the base rims are consistent with domestic use.
