** This lot comprises four table and desk lamps of varying styles and periods. The first is a balanced-arm desk lamp featuring a pale green finish on a circular weighted base. The underside of the base retains a printed paper label identifying it as produced for Homebase Ltd. The second desk lamp is finished in a dark green with a black flexible plastic gooseneck and is fitted with a modern black cord and inline rocker switch. A third, more ornate table lamp features a ceramic base with a brown and tan mottled glaze, four large integrated scrolling handles, and is topped with a pleated fabric shade. The fourth lamp in the group has an ovoid ceramic body with a matte dark grey finish and vertical incised tan stripes. It is fitted with a brass bayonet bulb holder and a white cord with a pin plug.
Condition report:
** The Homebase lamp exhibits minor surface wear to the base and shade (photo 3). The dark green gooseneck lamp has several visible surface scratches and paint losses to the shade (photo 2). The ornate mottled ceramic lamp shows significant glaze losses and white chips around the upper rim and body of the base (photo 1). The striped ovoid lamp appears in good overall condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use (photo 4).
