A Royal Doulton Bunnykins Shooting for the Stars ceramic money box with presentation case. The hand-decorated money box is designed as a stylized rocket ship in blue, green, and white glazes, featuring a large red letter B on the side. The scene depicts two rabbits, one in a red jacket and another in a blue and white polka-dot dress, holding flags beside the rocket as it launches from a grassy base with white billowing clouds. A small mouse is visible through a circular porthole window. The base of the bank is finished with a repeating running rabbit border and contains a white rubber stopper. A coin slot is located at the top rear of the rocket. The underside of the base bears a circular black printed mark for Hand Made and Hand Decorated Bunnykins by Royal Doulton Bunnykins Classic Giftware Shooting for the Stars DBGW 1, followed by Designed in England and copyright 2006 Royal Doulton. An adhesive label on the base and box provides the barcode 6 52383 56118 2 and model number 19456, stating Made in China. The accompanying red cardboard presentation box features the Bunnykins by Royal Doulton logo and character illustrations.
Condition report:
The ceramic money box is in good condition with no visible chips or cracks. The original white rubber stopper remains intact in the base. There are minor dark scuff marks visible on the unglazed portion of the foot rim on the underside (photo 6). The original red cardboard box is present but shows signs of shelf wear, including scuffing and whitening at the corners and edges (photos 1, 3, and 5).
