A collection of vintage glass and resin table lighters featuring an assortment of decorative bases. The group includes several faceted clear glass or crystal style bases, a tall blue glass pedestal base, a square amber glass block base, and a cylindrical amber glass base moulded with a relief of an eagle and stars. One square base is constructed from clear and black resin with an embedded oyster shell containing a pearl. The lighters utilise removable metal fit-up mechanisms with hinged ignition levers. One mechanism is stamped to the vertical ignition post with the country of origin mark JAPAN. The bases show various forms including hexagonal, octagonal, and cylindrical shapes with varying degrees of transparency and colour.
Condition report:
The metal lighter mechanisms exhibit visible oxidation, pitting, and surface grime (photos 4 and 5). The decorative glass and resin bases appear to be in generally good condition with some surface dust and minor wear consistent with age (photo 1). No significant chips or cracks are visible to the glass components in the provided images. The functional status of the ignition mechanisms has not been tested.
