A set of five Heirloom Coin Collections House of Windsor 100th anniversary gold-toned commemorative medals with presentation case. This lot comprises five medals constructed in a gold-toned metal, possibly gold-plated, each featuring a colourised portrait on the obverse. The portraits represent the monarchs of the House of Windsor: King George V, King Edward VIII, King George VI, and Queen Elizabeth II, with a fifth medal depicting the Windsor Castle heraldic crest. Each obverse bears the inscription 100th ANNIVERSARY OF THE ROYAL HOUSE OF WINDSOR and the years 1917-2017. The reverse design shared across the set features three heraldic shields in a trefoil formation surrounded by national floral emblems, with the Latin legend MAGNAE BRITANNIAE ET HIBERNIAE SEPTENTRIONALIS REGNUM UNITUM and the date 2017. The medals are housed within individual protective plastic capsules and presented in a black faux-leather case with a cream satin lining, which is printed with a gold crest and the text HEIRLOOM COIN COLLECTIONS. An accompanying Certificate of Authenticity is included.
