A collection of UK brilliant uncirculated coin sets and commemorative folders including Royal Mint examples. The lot includes two annual United Kingdom Brilliant Uncirculated Coin Collection year packs from 1994 and 1995, housed in illustrated card presentation folders with die-cut decorative slipcases. The 1994 collection contains eight base metal coins including the Bank of England tercentenary two pounds and the D-Day landings fiftieth anniversary fifty pence. The 1995 set contains eight base metal coins, featuring the Second World War peace dove two pounds and the Welsh dragon one pound. Also present are three 1989 commemorative two pound coins marking the tercentenary of the Bill of Rights, struck in nickel-brass. One coin is held in a four-panel illustrated card folder printed Struck by The Royal Mint alongside promotional text for Jif and Frish household cleaners. The other two coins are mounted in individual black and silver bifold cards printed WITH THE COMPLIMENTS OF Scotch VIDEOCASSETTES & AUDIOCASSETTES.
Condition report:
The coins remain sealed within their original packaging, exhibiting uncirculated surfaces with full original mint lustre and no visible contact marks. The printed card presentation sleeves and folders display light age-related wear. Minor corner rubbing and edge softening are present on the 1994 and 1995 outer slipcases (photos 8 and 10). The 1989 four-panel card exhibits faint creasing along the folds and minor edge wear (photos 2 and 3). The two Scotch promotional cards display light surface rubbing and slight corner curling (photos 6 and 7).
