A collection of eight UK commemorative crown coins presented in a fitted black display case. This lot comprises eight coins, each housed in an individual clear plastic protective capsule. The set includes a 1935 George V Silver Jubilee crown featuring the Metcalfe modernistic St. George and Dragon design, a 1951 George VI Festival of Britain crown with the Pistrucci St. George and Dragon, a 1953 Elizabeth II Coronation crown depicting the Queen on horseback, a 1965 Winston Churchill commemorative crown, a 1972 Silver Wedding crown featuring the EP monogram, a 1977 Silver Jubilee crown showing the Queen on horseback, a 1980 Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother 80th Birthday crown, and a 1981 Royal Wedding crown for Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. The collection is accompanied by a card certificate of authenticity printed with the text THE UNITED KINGDOM CROWN COLLECTION, LIMITED EDITION PRESENTATION: 499, and Certificate of Authenticity. No manufacturer branding is visible on the presentation case or documentation.


Condition report:

The coins are in uncirculated or proof-like condition, showing bright original luster. Light natural golden-brown toning is visible to the obverse of the 1972 Silver Wedding crown (photo 1). The protective plastic capsules are clear and free from visible cracks (photo 3). The presentation case is in good order with light dust accumulation to the black velvet-effect lining (photo 3).
