A contemporary JB Global solid oak Bevel two-over-three chest of drawers. This piece is constructed from solid light oak, featuring a thick mitred outer frame and a two-over-three drawer configuration. Unusually for modern production furniture, the secondary timbers, including the drawer bases and the back panel, are also constructed from solid oak planks rather than plywood or fibreboard. The chest is fitted with ten brushed metal bow-style handles. The reverse of the chest bears an original adhesive manufacturer label reading JB GLOBAL / Quality Certification / Product No. BEV052 / Desc. Bevel/Oakley Chest of Drawers / S/C No. LVJB-15-017 / Production Team JGG – VN / Inspector 10 / Check Date 28 / 9 / 2015 / *DO NOT REMOVE THIS LABEL, IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT BATCH NUMBER INFORMATION, DOING SO WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY / BS EN 14749:2005. A separate small white label bears the letter A. The label indicates the item was produced in Vietnam.
Condition report:
The chest is in overall good used condition. The top surface shows minor light surface scratches and natural wood characteristics, including small knots (photo 4). The interior of the left-hand upper small drawer has visible marks and adhesive residue (photo 6). The back panel has two small pre-drilled holes from previous safety wall-tethering (photo 8). There is light wear to the metal handles consistent with age and use (photo 1).
