A collection of international circulated and commemorative base metal coins housed within four blue velvet-lined trays and a silver-toned metal carry case. The assembly features a diverse range of issuers including the UK, AU, IE, FR, IL, CA, and the USSR. The coins are primarily composed of base metals including copper, bronze, nickel, and brass, with some examples displaying silver-toned and gold-toned finishes.

Notable pieces within the group include a 1924 Australian penny inscribed ‘ONE PENNY’ and ‘COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA’, an Irish penny dated ‘1961’ featuring a harp, and a Soviet coin marked ‘CCCP’. The collection also includes a Greek 2 Drachmai coin depicting an owl and various pieces featuring portraits of monarchs such as Queen Elizabeth II and King George VI. Several coins are stored in protective plastic capsules. No manufacturer branding or logos are visible on the trays or the exterior of the carry case.

Condition report:

The collection is in a mixed circulated state. The majority of the coins exhibit signs of handling consistent with age, including surface scratches, minor edge nicks, and wear to the high points of the relief designs (photo 2, 3, and 4). Heavy toning and oxidation are present on many of the copper and bronze issues, appearing as dark patination across the surfaces (photo 3). Two coins are currently held in clear plastic capsules (photo 3). The blue velvet-lined trays show light surface lint and dust accumulation (photo 1). The silver-toned carry case appears in functional condition.
