This auction ended on September 16, 2026.

Start price: £10

Estimated price: £10 - £20

Buyer's Premium: 20%

Sold for: £12

This lot comprises five traditional oak style dining items, including one extendable pedestal dining table and four matching chairs. The table features a circular top with a book-matched grain pattern, suggesting an oak veneer finish, which extends to an oval shape via an internal butterfly leaf mechanism stored beneath the surface. The top is supported by a central turned pedestal terminating in four splayed and reeded legs. The four chairs are designed in a Windsor style with lath backs, turned spindles, and a central decorative splat featuring a heart-shaped cutout. Each chair has a contoured seat and turned legs joined by an H-stretcher. The suite includes four detachable cream-coloured tie-on seat cushions with a grey and brown botanical floral print. A small black adhesive label is present on the underside of one chair seat, although the characters are not legible as a name or manufacturer.

Condition report:

The tabletop displays minor surface scratches and faint signs of domestic use (photo 1). Light scuffing and minor finish wear are visible on the pedestal base and the splayed reeded legs (photo 8). The internal butterfly extension mechanism was observed to be functional (photo 7). The chairs show visible finish wear and thinning to the wood on the top rails and spindles (photo 6). The detachable seat cushions exhibit light wear and minor staining (photo 4). The frames appear structurally sound.
