A modern country style pine four drawer chest of drawers constructed from knotty pine with a honey-toned finish. The chest features a rectangular top with a rear gallery rail and rounded edges, positioned above four full-width drawers of uniform depth. Each drawer is fitted with a pair of turned pine bun knobs. The unit is supported by four turned bun feet and features a thin plywood style back panel secured with screws. A rectangular paper manufacturer label is adhered to the upper left corner of the back panel; the top line reads ‘Handmade in’ followed by illegible script, above further illegible handwritten details and the printed number ‘0059’. The lot comprises the chest only; the rugs and other items visible in the background are not included.
Condition report:
The chest is in good used condition with surface wear consistent with age. Several visible scratches, scuffs, and minor indentations are present on the top surface (photo 2 and photo 6). There is a small scuff and minor loss to the finish on the front right corner of the base moulding (photo 1). General light surface wear and minor dings are evident to the side panels and feet (photo 3 and photo 4). The drawers are in good working order (photo 5).
