An assortment of four contemporary men’s wristwatches including an OVO talking watch. The collection comprises four watches in varied designs and materials, each featuring a quartz movement. One item is a silver-tone digital watch with a rectangular LCD face, marked with the functions ‘ALARM’ and ‘CHRONOGRAPH’ at the top and ‘3ATM WATER RESISTANT’ at the base. The lot also includes a gunmetal-grey tone ana-digit watch featuring a rotating bezel with numerals ’15’, ’30’, and ’45’, and a black dial inscribed ‘PROFESSIONAL ANA-DIGIT’, ‘DUAL TIME’, and ‘3ATM WATER RESISTANT’. The silver-tone OVO talking watch features a grey dial with large Arabic numerals and a bezel marked ‘MODE’, ‘ADJ/ALARM’, ‘TALK/LCD’, and ‘SET/HR RPT’. Completing the group is a modernist style LED watch with a curved black rectangular face marked ‘LED WATCH’ in white, set in a silver-tone frame with a textured black rubber strap.
Condition report:
The collection shows moderate to heavy signs of previous wear throughout. The square silver-tone digital watch exhibits significant surface scratching to the crystal and metal casing (photo 5). The gunmetal-tone ana-digit watch shows scuffs and wear to the bezel and case edges (photo 4). The OVO talking watch has visible surface scratches to the crystal and bracelet consistent with regular use (photo 3). The black plastic face of the LED watch displays heavy surface scratching (photo 2). All four watches are currently non-functional and appear to require replacement batteries; the internal movements have not been tested.
