A collection of framed prints and a wall mirror including examples by Winifred Walker and Claude Monet. The group features a still life print on paper by Winifred Walker, depicting delphiniums and other flowers in a pewter tankard beside a ceramic bowl, signed – Winifred Walker – in the lower right corner and housed in a wooden frame with a gilt edge. Also included is a Highland style landscape print on paper depicting deer beside a loch, featuring a metal title plaque in the matting inscribed View From The… and By J… followed by illegible text, set in a dark wood frame with gilt fillets and protective corner mounts. A natural history print on paper depicts a pair of mallards, inscribed at the bottom MALLARD – Anas Platyrhynchos, presented with a black mat in a beaded gilt frame. The lot also contains a maritime landscape print on paper titled Regatta at Argenteuil with a printed Claude Monet signature, mounted with a blue mat in a gilt frame. The collection is completed by a rectangular wall mirror set within a mitered pine wood frame.


Condition report:

The collection is in good overall condition with some light surface dust and minor wear consistent with age and use. The landscape print frame shows minor rubbing to the edges and corners (photo 4). The Winifred Walker print frame has light wear to the gilt finish (photo 6). The pine mirror frame exhibits minor surface scuffs and scratches (photo 2). The mallard and Monet prints show no significant visible faults (photos 3 and 5).
