Sold for: £5
A pair of mid-20th century copper and brass workshop and garden tools comprising a hand-held blowtorch and a manual hand sprayer. The blowtorch is constructed with a cylindrical copper and brass fuel tank featuring an integrated vertical pump with a brass cap. The steel burner assembly is angled with horizontal cooling slots and is supported by a red-painted pressed steel skeletonised handle attached to the side. The hand sprayer features a domed cylindrical copper and brass tank with a central vertical brass plunger pump, a small finger ring handle, and a fixed side-mounted spray nozzle. No manufacturer marks or stamps are legible on either piece. The items are sold as decorative or collectible pieces only and have not been tested for functional use.
Condition report:
Both items exhibit significant age-related wear and are sold in uncleaned condition. The copper and brass bodies show heavy oxidation and areas of green verdigris (photo 1). The steel burner assembly and handle of the blowtorch show surface rust and significant paint loss (photo 1). While the items appear physically complete with original pump components and caps, they remain untested and the internal condition of the seals is unknown.
