This lot comprises a limited edition wildlife print by Steven Townsend titled Warmth of Nature. The artwork depicts a polar bear mother and two cubs in a snowy forest landscape, presented in landscape orientation. The piece is mounted within a multi-layered mount featuring pale grey and salmon-pink borders, all housed in a glazed, dark wood-effect frame with a gilded inner fillet. The lower-left margin is signed in pencil Steven Townsend ’97 and features a handwritten limited edition number of 503/675. The artist’s name Steven Townsend is also printed on the image itself in the lower-left corner. A circular embossed seal is located in the lower-left white margin, but the characters inside are not legible as a specific name or brand.
Condition report:
The print and mount appear to be in good condition (photo 1). The frame shows some minor surface wear consistent with age and handling (photo 1). There is a small white mark or piece of residue on the top-right corner of the frame (photo 1).
