This auction ended on September 16, 2026.

Start price: £5

Estimated price: £5 - £10

Buyer's Premium: 20%

Sold for: £7

A pair of two yucca cane houseplants (Yucca gigantea) presented in plastic nursery pots. The first specimen is a multi-headed plant featuring a single woody trunk and upright, sword-shaped green leaves, sitting in a terracotta-coloured plastic pot with a black saucer. The second, larger specimen features twin woody trunks, one of which supports long foliage tied to a central bamboo support stake, while the taller main trunk appears dormant or pruned at the crown. This plant is housed in a plastic nursery pot inside a decorative glazed ceramic cachepot decorated with horizontal bands of yellow, green, and white. A small white rectangular adhesive label is visible on the exterior of the ceramic cachepot reading ‘Plante’ followed by characters that are not clearly legible. This lot comprises the plants and pots only; the background warehouse equipment and flooring shown in the images are not included.

Condition report:

Both specimens show signs of poor health and a lack of vigour. Significant wilting and heavy drooping are visible on the foliage of the larger plant (Photo 2). Multiple holes and necrotic brown spots are present on the leaves of both plants (Photo 1 and Photo 3). The foliage of the larger specimen is heavily dependent on a bamboo stake and string for support (Photo 2). The taller trunk of the larger plant is pruned at the crown with no current growth visible (Photo 4). General signs of neglect are observable throughout (Photo 1).
