A collection of costume jewellery including examples by Madison and Co. and All That Glitters, presented in a brown textured faux-leather travel case. The collection comprises an assortment of brooches, earrings, rings, and bangles constructed from gold and silver-toned base metals, enamel, glass rhinestones, and faux pearls. Notable pieces include a large owl brooch pavé-set with clear and black rhinestones, two butterfly brooches in purple enamel and silver-toned finishes, and several circular pins featuring floral cloisonné style designs. The earrings include a pair of leopard-print studs on a card printed Madison and Co. and a pair of large floral-painted circular earrings on a card printed All That Glitters FASHION EARRINGS. Other items include a silver-toned ring set with a large oval pink cabochon, various gold-toned bands, and a large safety-pin style brooch with a red faceted bead. The travel case features a top handle, gold-toned metal hardware, and a tan fabric-lined interior with a removable partitioned tray and ring rolls.
Condition report:
The collection is in good used condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. The travel case shows light scuffing and external wear to the textured surface (photo 1). Some items of jewellery exhibit light tarnishing and surface scratches to the base metal components (photo 3). The rhinestones in the owl brooch appear largely intact with no obvious losses visible (photo 4). The enamel work on the floral brooches remains bright and lacks significant chipping.
