A set of five 2016 Year of the Three Kings Windsor Mint commemorative medals and coin. The collection comprises four large oval medals struck in gold-plated copper and one small round coin struck in 585 carat gold. The oval medals feature proof finishes and are each inset with a small red Swarovski crystal at the base of the obverse. The designs include individual portraits of King George V, King Edward VIII, and King George VI, alongside a group portrait medal titled The 3 Kings 1936. The common reverse of these medals depicts three crowns over a Union Jack background with the text 1936 Year of the Three Kings and banners bearing the monarchs names. The small round gold coin features a triple profile portrait on the obverse and a crowned Tudor rose on the reverse, accompanied by the legends History of the British Monarchy and Dieu et mon Droit. The set is accompanied by a Certificate of Ownership numbered B 009469 bearing a printed signature and reading Guaranteed by Windsor Mint. Also included are technical information cards and individual certificates of authenticity numbered 00373, 00035, 00574, and A 01823. The technical cards specify a limitation of 1,936 complete editions for the medals and 1,936 complete collections for the gold coin. All items are housed in protective plastic capsules within a blue presentation folder containing historical text regarding the 1936 abdication crisis.
