A collection of studio glass elephant figurines and one paperweight, including examples by Wedgwood, Caithness, Langham, and Avondale. The group comprises figurines hand-blown in various colours including cobalt blue, emerald green, smoke grey, and black. These are fashioned in stylised forms with differing trunk positions, utilising techniques such as internal marbling and solid colour casing. One grey elephant bears an oval gold foil label reading ‘Wedgwood Glass England Hand Made’, while another grey figurine features a circular acid-etched mark to the frosted base reading ‘WEDGWOOD ENGLAND’. A smoke-grey figurine is etched to the polished base with ‘LANGHAM ENGLAND’. A marbled green and blue figurine is etched to the underside with ‘CAITHNESS SCOTLAND CG80…’. A cobalt blue elephant carries a black and gold adhesive label reading ‘AVONDALE GLASS Hand made in Pembrokeshire Wales’. The lot also includes a semi-circular clear glass paperweight with a blue base and an internal laser-etched image of an elephant cow and calf in a savannah landscape. This lot comprises the glass items only; the wooden shelving shown in the images is not included.

Condition report:

There is visible shelf wear and surface scratching to the polished bases of several items, most notably on the smoke-grey Langham figurine (photo 10), the Caithness figurine (photo 7), and the Wedgwood figurines (photos 6 and 9). The collection otherwise appears to be in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the glass bodies (photos 1-5).
