A contemporary gilt metallic finished composite oval wall mirror. The central oval mirror glass is housed within a substantial openwork decorative frame, constructed from cast resin or composite material. The frame features a complex, three-dimensional interlocking motif of stylised thorny branches or fronds, finished in a burnished bronze and gold-tone metallic patina. The finish incorporates intentional dark patination within the recesses to emphasise the high-relief texture of the design. No maker marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the front or sides of the mirror; the backing was not available for inspection. This lot comprises the mirror only; the clothing, display case, tools, and other background items shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The mirror and frame appear to be in good decorative condition. The oval mirror glass is clear and free from visible foxing, scratches, or silvering loss (photo 1). The cast frame shows no evidence of chips, cracks, or repairs to the interlocking openwork structure (photo 3). The metallic finish remains intact with intentional dark patination used as a design feature (photo 2).
