A display cabinet constructed from oak with a medium brown polished finish. The unit features a shallow open gallery top with curved outer corners and two internal vertical sections. The front is fitted with two sliding glass panels that run along internal tracks. The interior is divided by a central wooden support and includes glass shelving. The backboard is constructed from a light coloured wood or composite material. The construction follows a utilitarian mid-century style focused on functional display. There are no manufacturer marks, signatures, or labels visible on the cabinet. This lot comprises the cabinet only; the books and other interior items shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The oak exterior shows surface wear and minor scuffing, particularly visible on the edges and the lower plinth (photo 1). There is a visible residue or small circular puncture on the left hand exterior side panel (photo 1). The interior surfaces and glass panels show an accumulation of dust and debris (photo 1). The sliding glass doors and internal shelving appear intact with no visible chips or cracks to the glazing (photo 1).
