A pair of yellow gold hoop earrings featuring a bulbous, tapered form and a diagonal ribbed texture. The design is a hollow construction in a style frequently described as a shrimp or croissant pattern. Each earring is fitted with a hinged lever-back wire clasp that secures into a notched post. An incised mark is visible on the inner curve of each earring post, consisting of the three digits 3 7 5, indicating a gold purity of 9 carat. The metal surface exhibits a polished finish with the textured sections creating a contrasting light-reflecting effect. No maker’s marks or further inscriptions are visible on the pieces.

Condition report:
The earrings are in good pre-owned condition with no visible dents or deformations to the hollow forms. Some minor surface wear and light scratches are visible under magnification (photo 2). There is evidence of light tarnishing and residual surface debris around the hinges and the base of the posts (photo 2). The hinged closures are intact and functional.
