A 9ct gold signet ring featuring a rectangular head and decorative foliate chasing to the shoulders. The face of the signet is hand-engraved with stylised script initials, possibly reading PMS. The ring is constructed with a hollow-back head and a tapered shank. A distinctive feature is located on the underside of the head, which contains a recessed square panel of blue enamel inlaid with a gold-tone Masonic Square and Compasses symbol. The interior of the shank bears a single character or symbol that is not clearly legible. No standard UK hallmarks are visible in the provided images, however the item is noted as being 9ct gold.
Weight: 3.82g.
Condition report:
The ring shows visible surface wear, scratches, and abrasions consistent with regular use, particularly on the engraved face of the signet (photo 1). There is significant darkening and residue on the interior of the ring head around the Masonic emblem (photo 2). The shank shows signs of thinning at the base (photo 2). The item is in good used condition.
