A 9ct yellow gold ring featuring a bypass or “moi et toi” design. The ring is set with two spherical cream-coloured pearls, possibly cultured, measuring approximately 4.5mm to 5mm each. The polished yellow gold shank wraps around the stones in a crossover style. The interior of the shank is struck with a series of British hallmarks including a maker’s mark, a crown gold standard mark, and the fineness mark “375” denoting 9ct gold. A further mark is present but is too compressed to be identified. The item has a total weight of 1.82 grams.
Condition report:
The ring is in good overall condition. The gold surfaces show minor surface scratches and light wear commensurate with use. The pearls exhibit good lustre with some very minor surface pitting visible under magnification. The hallmark stamps are partially rubbed but the gold fineness is legible.
