This lot comprises two 9ct yellow gold rings with a combined weight of 2.50 grams. The first item is a signet ring featuring an oval plaque face decorated with a bright-cut cursive monogram. The interior of the shank is stamped with a rectangular punch containing the marks 9, C, and T. The second item is an Art Deco style decorative ring mounting, currently lacking a central stone. This mounting features a two-tone construction, comprising a yellow gold shank and a white metal top section, possibly platinum or white gold. The shoulders are embellished with geometric openwork and milgrain detailing. The interior of the shank carries a stamped 9ct mark. Both items show evidence of standard wear consistent with age.
Condition report:
The signet ring displays significant surface scratches and abrasions to the oval face, with the engraved monogram showing softening from use; the shank is also slightly misshapen. The decorative mounting is missing its central stone and shows heavy tarnish and oxidisation around the setting area, while the shank has minor surface wear.
