A pair of stylised avian figurines, fashioned in polished cast brass, likely depicting ducks or geese. The two figures are depicted in a walking pose with elongated necks; one bird is positioned with a slightly lower head than its companion. The bodies feature incised linear decoration to the wings to represent plumage, while the legs terminate in detailed webbed feet. The casting shows a bright reflective finish to the main surfaces, with characteristic darkening and oxidation visible in the recessed areas of the wings and feet. No manufacturer marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the exterior of the pieces.
Condition report:
The figurines are in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The brass surfaces show minor surface scratches and faint signs of tarnish, particularly concentrated on the necks and legs (photo 1). The casting detail on the feet is somewhat coarse, consistent with the manufacturing style of mid-20th-century decorative brassware.
