Sold for: £5
A collection of elephant figurines and decorative objects in a diverse range of materials, including ceramic, porcelain, resin, composite stone, and fabric-covered forms. The assortment features elephants in various poses such as standing, sitting, and balancing on a ball, presented in realistic, whimsical, and stylised interpretations. Notable pieces include a large elephant covered in a floral fabric or decoupage paper, a green glazed ceramic elephant planter with two grey elephant heads forming the handles, and three mosaic-style resin elephants with multi-coloured geometric patterns. Also included is a distinctive green glazed segmented elephant with protruding eyes, a grey resin figurine depicted as a tribal warrior holding a spear, and a decorative picture frame featuring an embossed silver-tone elephant with pink floral accents. A green paper hangtag is visible on one grey elephant, though the text is not legible. No factory marks or signatures are clearly visible on the bodies of the items.
Condition report:
The collection is in fair to good decorative condition with dust and light surface soiling present across the pieces (photo 1). The large fabric-covered elephant shows some fraying and lifting of the material at the seams (photo 1). Surface wear to the paint is visible on the small pink pig-like elephant (photo 2). Minor nibbles and fleabites are present on the ears and tusks of several ceramic pieces (photo 1 and 2). The silver-tone frame shows signs of oxidation and tarnishing (photo 2).
