A collection of vintage ephemera and household curiosities including two metal cash boxes and a large empty wooden chest. The lot features a silver-toned metal cash box with a folding handle and lock, and a smaller red metal cash box with a key inserted. Also included is a red tin thrift box with four separate coin slots labelled RENT, COAL, GAS, and ELECTRICITY. The wooden chest is constructed with visible dovetail joints and two metal latches. Ephemera includes a Cycling 1839-1939 commemorative booklet, a green booklet titled 10 PHOTO SNAPS OF GALILEE edited by M. H. Hayward, and a collection of postcards including views of Blackpool and The Glen. A miniature perfume set is presented in a plastic display case featuring five bottles including labels for Vivara, Ivoire BALMAIN, CARDIN, and griffe carven. Further items comprise a boxed souvenir spoon, a Horse Racing card game, a set of Tex Abrasives playing cards, and various vintage matchboxes including Swan Vestas and Old Castle brands.
Condition report:
The metal cash boxes show surface scratches and areas of paint loss, particularly to the edges of the red thrift box (photo 3). The wooden chest exhibits minor scuffs to the exterior but remains structurally sound with functional latches (photo 4). Paper ephemera and booklets show age-related toning, corner wear, and some creasing to the edges (photo 2). The plastic perfume case has surface scratches and a small crack to the clear lid (photo 3). All items are sold as seen with visible signs of handling and storage wear.
