A collection of royal commemorative items primarily documenting the reigns of Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III. The group features a numismatic folder titled Operation Golden Orb, which contains several coins or medallions finished in gold and silver colours, depicting regalia such as the St. Edward’s Crown and the Sovereign’s Sceptre. This set is accompanied by a red folder containing certificates of authenticity. Philatelic elements include First Day Covers for the 1977 Silver Jubilee, bearing the E R monogram and postage values of 8 1/2p, 10p, 11p, and 13p. The lot includes a commemorative fifty pound banknote style item in a gold-coloured foil finish with the serial number GOLD 999999. Also present is a large silver-coloured commemorative dish in a blue presentation case, engraved with the Royal Coat of Arms and the inscription THE QUEEN’S SILVER JUBILEE 1952-1977. Further items include a crystal paperweight in a blue box marked ROYAL SCOT CRYSTAL, a 2026 Centenary Edition book titled HM Queen Elizabeth II Her Life & Reign published by Hattons of London, and a commemorative mug from South Kirkby and Moorthorpe Town Council.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good commemorative condition and are housed in their original presentation packaging. The philatelic covers are stored in clear protective plastic sleeves (photo 3). The silver-coloured dish shows a bright reflective surface with clear engraving (photo 6). The Royal Scot Crystal box and paperweight appear intact (photo 5). Minor creasing is visible to the outer edges of the gold-coloured foil banknote (photo 3). The Operation Golden Orb folder shows crisp printing and secure coin mounts (photo 2).
