A collection of vintage Christmas decorations and lighting housed within a vintage hard-shell suitcase. The group features a Silver Starburst Tree by Optic Glow by Puleo, measuring 90cm (36 inches) in height, in its original retail box. The tree is constructed with color-changing fiber optic lighting components. Also included is a boxed Mazda Style Light set of 20 Christmas lanterns and a Noma decoration set featuring 40 multi-coloured screw-in lamps in a green and white branded box. The assortment is accompanied by red tinsel, silver tinsel, a box of red spherical baubles, and two packages of baby cotton wool roll, one bearing a blue adhesive price label reading 99p. The storage vessel is a maroon textured hard-shell suitcase with a tan interior, metal latches, and a central plastic handle. The tree box bears printed text reading Puleo International, Inc. and Optic Glow by Puleo.
Condition report:
The items are in used vintage condition with signs of age-related wear throughout. The cardboard retail boxes for the tree and light sets show significant creasing, edge tears, surface scuffing, and foxing (photo 1 and 2). The Mazda light box has visible taped repairs (photo 3). The suitcase exterior shows surface scuffs and oxidation to the metal hardware, while the interior lining exhibits significant staining and discolouration (photo 1 and 4). One package of cotton wool is opened (photo 3). The electrical functionality of the light sets and the fiber optic tree has not been tested.
